Tom is owner of Boynton Beach Dive Center along with his wife, Deb. Tom started diving and teaching scuba diving in 1963. He has logged over 2000 dives here on the Boynton Beach reefs along with many other locations throughout the world.
Tom is the primary "GO TO GUY" for information on just about every facet of the sport of diving. He is a certified SSI Dive Con Specialist Instructor for the dive center. He is a knowledgeable resource when purchasing dive equipment and can usually work with you financially to make the sport more affordable.
Deborah (Deb) is owner of Boynton Beach Dive Center along with her husband, Tom. She is a certified SSI Instructor for the dive center.
Deb is a newly retired Physical Education Teacher from New York State and still loves teaching. Scuba Diving is her favorite thing to do along with teaching children and she has been looking forward to enjoying both at the same time.
Rachel is the manager/instructor for the shop who joined our dive family in 2011. She is a friendly and knowledgeable asset to our dive community and handles all of the ordering, marketing, merchandising, and event coordinating for the dive center.
She is an Advanced OW/Stress & Rescue instructor and has attained many specialty courses along the years including cave training. Most of the time you´ll find her in the shop but occasionally she´ll hop on a boat to dive dive dive!
James is one of our technicians/instructors at Boynton Beach Dive Center. He was Open Water certified by the Boynton Beach Dive Center in 2007 and has been an avid fan of diving ever since. James has achieved many dive certification specialties including cave training.
He is a very knowledgeable member of our dive family and will "bend your ear" on any facet of diving if you care to listen. James works as one of our technicians for equipment repair and can answer questions you may have regarding your equipment or make purchasing suggestions tailored to your needs.
Gia hails from Buffalo New York where she fell in love with diving back in 2013. After she gained 3 years of experience in the cold waters of the Great Lakes Gia moved to South Florida in pursuit of a diving career. Gia loves wreck diving and is currently working towards becoming a divemaster. You'll either find her as crew on the boat or occasionally in the shop to service all of your diving needs!
Alex is one of our fill/hydro techs at the Smartfills location. He hails from Arrington, TN and has been teaching music (percussion) since 2010. Recently he's decided to pursue a different dream; one that involves warmer weather and a lot of water. He joined our team in 2017 and is an asset to our dive team learning every step of the way to become a divemaster.
Jeff originally hails from the cold waters of the Northeast and is both an SSI & PADI Instructor. Although he enjoys the warm waters of Florida, you may occasionally find him diving in a dry suit. Jeff loves teaching and is often found in the classroom teaching open water and specialties.
Jeff is a former Marine who first started diving in 1981 and would love to dive with you whether you just need a refresher, specialty, initial certification or just need a dive buddy or guide on our boat or at the Blue Heron Bridge. Jeff is also a factory trained regulator technician.
Dan is one of our fill techs at Smartfills. Raised in Pennsylvania, he visited Florida and fell in love with the ocean and decided to make his visit perminant. He quickly developed an interest in diving and decided to make it a full time hobby. Working or diving he's here to fill your cylinders and you'll find him at Smartfills or on the boat heading out for a dive!
Chris is one of our Open Water Instructors who originally hails from New York City, where he was a lawyer and air traffic controller.
Clay is one of our SSI instructors who originated in New York as a Certified Prosthetist. He was actually one of the first certified Open Water-Nitrox Instructors with IANTD in 1996 and later crossed over to SSI.
Clay migrated south to Florida permanently, and prefers warm water diving over the colder Northeastern waters. He has technical as well as recreational dive training and experienced dives all over the world. Clay loves spending time sharing his passion for diving, teaching classes and getting people enthusiastic about the underwater world.
Joe is one of our SSI instructors who was born and raised in New York where he became a certified OW diver. He enlisted in the US Marine Corps and for the next 23 years continued to dive throughout the world’s oceans. While in the Marines he graduated from a number of US military diving schools and taught diving to various foreign militaries. Since USMC retirement, Joe has worked in the government and commercial sectors as part of their senior leadership. In 2015, Joe transferred permanently to sunny south Florida. He has taught classes for adults, juniors and refreshers for those wanting to get back into diving. Joe revels in dive guiding, instructing and helping others develop an appreciation for the underwater world. Joe enjoys imparting his diving knowledge, experiences and sharing his passion for diving with whoever he comes into contact with.
